Welcome to BucketTrucks.net
Over the years, bucket trucks have become a much more common sight throughout cities and towns the world over. The ability to perform tasks from a stable platform high off the ground just works a lot easier when these trucks are used.
Years ago the first versions of these machines were only used in orchards to pick fruit and especially cherries. Many of the good cherries could not easily be reached from the ground and using a ladder took too much time. So the first cherry pickers were born. This is still a name commonly used for bucket trucks.
They are however not only available as trucks. There are also versions of them where they are mounted on trailers or on the back of pick up vans. The working platform, the bucket, gets raised and lowered by a hydraulic lifting system.
They have got many different uses these days and it is no more just for picking fruit. Many companies use the bucket trucks to quickly and securely do work at heights that can not be safely reached by ladders.
You will often be able to see telephone workers, cable television technicians and electricians up on the bucket trucks working on the utility polls. Working in this way makes it possible to get a lot more work done a lot faster. If the trucks weren't there the poles would have to be lowered or unstable ladders would have to be used to do the work.
Many other industries have however also started using the bucket trucks to help with their every day tasks. You will see them used for putting up displays like Christmas lights, window cleaners would use them and they will also be used for external painting. In industries like mining and construction it is also used on a regular basis.
One of the most well known images is seeing the buckets being lifted on fire trucks. The uses of these trucks really go far and wide and helps in getting a lot of work done a whole lot easier.
